T82 Quarterly account review
Quarterly account review

The third quarter on the Varden Pay account, read from the record the Copperline team works from: requirements, submissions, interviews, placements, renewals and the decisions still open. Prepared by Beatrix Ferraro, delivery director at Copperline Talent, for Anders Sundqvist, head of platform engineering at Varden Pay, ahead of the account review on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The quarter runs July 1 to September 30. Counts of open submissions are as of Monday, September 28.
Sample template: the firm, people, clients and figures are fictional.

The quarter at a glance
The four figures above carry the quarter. The list below puts the volume behind them in the order the work moves, from a requirement to a placement.
From requirement to placement
Fourteen requirements produced 38 submitted candidates, 16 interviews, 8 offers and 6 placements. The funnel is the delivered quarter. It does not show the open work: the 11 submissions still waiting for an answer are counted in the 38 submitted.

Share of each step that reached the next, calculated from the funnel counts above:
Where the time went
The agreed window for a client answer is two business days. The median in the quarter was five. The chart compares the second and third quarters by role family, in median business days to an answer.

Platform engineering moved from 3 to 6 business days, data engineering stayed at 3, and security and QA went from 2 to 5. Platform engineering, and security and QA, each rose by 3 days, and platform engineering is the longest. Part of the platform engineering and security delay has a known cause: two submissions sat in a shared hiring inbox that no Varden reviewer watched. Part of it has no cause on record yet.
I can read the quarter from the same record your team works from. That is what I want from a review: the same page, and the decisions that are mine named on it.
What changed
| Area | What the record shows | Owner | State |
|---|---|---|---|
| Response window | Two business days agreed on Jul 13. Median answer in the quarter was 5. | Anders Sundqvist and Beatrix Ferraro | |
| Review ownership | Two submissions sat in a shared hiring inbox. The platform engineering manager is now named reviewer for both roles, with one weekly decision slot. | Anders Sundqvist | |
| Submission ages | Every submission now shows advance, decline or question with its age, on both sides. Four were past the window on Sep 28, the oldest at 9 business days. | Rafael Delaney | |
| Interviews | Three booked for the week of Sep 28. Two have scores. The data platform lead interview has none. | Anders Sundqvist and Rafael Delaney | |
| Placements | Six placed in the quarter. Two accepted placements start on Oct 13, with 10 of 12 clearance items received. | Beatrix Ferraro | |
| Renewals | Two of three contracts discussed. The Varden budget owner for QA changed in August and has not met Copperline. | Beatrix Ferraro | |
| Fourth-quarter plan | Not yet confirmed by Varden. | Anders Sundqvist |
Decisions still open
- Discuss two of the three contractor end dates before they arrive. Owner: Beatrix Ferraro, done.
- Add the QA automation renewal to the Oct 14 agenda if the decision is not recorded by Oct 9. Owner: Beatrix Ferraro.
Forward view: waiting for the client
Varden Pay has not confirmed its fourth-quarter hiring plan, so this review shows no requirement count for the fourth quarter and does not estimate one. The third quarter is shown as delivered. The fourth-quarter plan is marked as waiting for the client. Anders Sundqvist is asked to confirm it at the account review on Wednesday, October 14. Once the plan is confirmed, the requirement count goes into this page from the record.
The dates below run from the close of the third quarter to the account review.
How to use this template
Prepare one review each quarter from the account record. Read the quarter as delivered, name every open decision with an owner and a date, and mark any plan the client has not confirmed as waiting.
| Variable | Meaning | Required |
|---|---|---|
{{client.name}} | Client organization the review covers | Required |
{{quarter.period}} | First and last day of the quarter | Required |
{{account.kpi_rows}} | Headline measures for the quarter with their notes | Required |
{{funnel.counts}} | Requirements, submitted, interviewed, offered and placed for the quarter | Required |
{{answer.median_by_family}} | Median days to a client answer by role family, this quarter and last | Required |
{{decision.open_list}} | Open decisions with owner and date | Required |
{{plan.next_quarter_status}} | Whether the client has confirmed next quarter's plan | Optional |
If a required value is missing, show Needs review in its place and hold the review; never fill it with a guess. If the account record cannot be read, show Unavailable instead of the quarter's figures. If the client has not confirmed next quarter's plan, show Waiting on the client instead of a count.
