T57 Client action follow-up tracker

Client action follow-up tracker

An analytics consultant following up on client actions

Practice-wide tracker This week: 2 follow-ups due 2 overdue Client-visible

How Clearview Analytics keeps every open client action and decision visible between meetings, so nothing waits for the next call to surface. This tracker follows one client's open items at a time; the walkthrough below uses Acme as the running example.

✓Action or decision logged

Sample template: the firm, people, clients and figures are fictional, and the embedded view holds synthetic sample records.

Live example from the Dashboards app, shown with Redwood Mobility's demo data.

How this works

Tracker mechanics
What counts as openItem type is Action or Decision, and Status is not Closed
Who is remindedThe named Client decision owner, not the whole distribution list
Reminder channelClient portal notification plus a same-day email
VerificationConsultant owner confirms the outcome before the card moves to Closed

Acme's open actions

The Open client actions view below lists every item still waiting on a client owner, sorted by follow-up date. For Acme, that is the lead routing ownership decision and the data warehouse decision.

Before you share this page with a client

The embedded view lists open actions for every client we work with, not only Acme. Before sending this page to a client, switch the embed to a saved view filtered to that client, or share a copy of this page with the filter applied. Never send a client a list that names another client's decisions.

Overdue across the practice

This table exists to catch follow-ups that have gone quiet, across every client we track. It is for internal use before the weekly practice review, not for sharing with any one client.

Escalation: Beacon health score decision

This decision has been overdue since Sep 17, 2026, eight days as of this update. Priya Nair has sent two reminders to Tomas Lind with no response. Escalating to: Beacon's executive sponsor, copying the account director. If undecided by Sep 30, the draft health score will not make the Q4 customer success rollout.

Why a tracker instead of chasing email threads

Before this tracker, open decisions lived across email, meeting notes and whoever remembered to follow up. The engagement decision log gives every open action one place to live, one owner and one follow-up date, so a client team member can see what they still owe us without digging through their inbox, and we can see it too without waiting for the next scheduled call.

Notes for the account lead
  • An item stays open until it reaches Closed, even after the client decides, so the outcome can be verified before it drops off this tracker.
  • The overdue table is a practice management tool. Review it every Monday before client calls that week, not only when preparing a formal report.
  • All names, dates and figures in this template are synthetic sample data.
How to use this template

Duplicate this page once per client, or keep one internal copy filtered to no client for the practice-wide overdue view. Replace these values; if a required value is missing, show Needs review instead of guessing.
