T33 Security remediation status report
Security remediation status report

Where Beacon's open security findings stand with Stonebridge Security, what is overdue and what we need you to verify or approve. Prepared by Maya Chen, Security Consultant, for Beacon's IT manager. Figures come from the security findings and remediation register as of Sep 22, 2026.
Two of Beacon's five tracked findings are ready for your verification; the other three are assigned or in remediation.
Having a named owner and a target date on every finding is what got us from a spreadsheet nobody opened to a list we actually close out.
Sample template: the firm, people, clients and figures are fictional, and the embedded view holds synthetic sample records.
Remediation board
Cards are grouped by status across every Stonebridge client: Assigned, Remediating and Ready to verify. Look for the cards under Client = Beacon; a card in Ready to verify needs your sign-off before Stonebridge marks the finding closed.
Before you share this page with a client
The sample board holds findings for several clients, not only Beacon. Before sending this page, switch the embed to a saved view filtered to Beacon, or duplicate the page and filter it first. Never share a board that names another client.
| Severity | Open findings | Example | Remediation owner |
|---|---|---|---|
| Critical | 1 | Unencrypted customer export on the reporting server | Tomas Lind |
| High | 1 | IT admin mailbox password known to a former contractor | Tomas Lind |
| Medium | 3 | No incident response plan, local admin rights, no retention policy | Tomas Lind |
All current findings have a named remediation owner on Beacon's side. Stonebridge verifies each fix against the validation method recorded on the finding before it moves to Closed.

Local admin rights on laptops: target missed
Removing local admin rights from Beacon sales laptops was due Sep 18 and is still in Remediating. Two users still need admin rights for a legacy quoting plugin until the vendor ships a compatible update. Owner: Tomas Lind. Impact: those two laptops remain outside the endpoint hardening baseline until the vendor update ships; Stonebridge has no confirmed date from the plugin vendor yet.
Ready for your verification
Two findings are fixed and waiting on your sign-off. The unencrypted export now writes to encrypted storage with the old files deleted; the admin mailbox password has been rotated, MFA enabled and the mailbox converted to shared with no interactive sign-in. Confirm the attached evidence for each and Stonebridge closes them.
When a finding moves to Accepted risk instead of Closed
Stonebridge only accepts a finding as risk when the client's named risk owner signs the acceptance, a review date is set (typically 6 to 12 months out), and a compensating control is documented. None of Beacon's current findings are in Accepted risk status; every open item is being remediated toward Closed.
