T30 Quarterly technology business review
Quarterly technology business review

How Silverline Credit's IT environment performed this quarter, what risks need leadership attention, and what we recommend for Q4 budget and roadmap. Prepared by Bluepeak IT's vCIO for Silverline's executive team ahead of the quarterly review meeting.
These figures are modeled from the ticketing and monitoring systems
Ticket counts and resolution times come from the Bluepeak ticketing system for the quarter. Security incident counts reflect confirmed SEV1 and SEV2 events only, defined in the incident response plan; lower-severity findings are tracked separately and not counted here.
Sample template: the firm, people, clients and figures are fictional and shown for illustration only.

The hardware refresh is scoped for Q4 pending the budget decision below; the branch office network upgrade is provisional for Q1 2027 and depends on the refresh finishing on schedule.
Budget: current quarter and proposed Q4
| Line item | Q3 2026 actual | Q4 2026 proposed | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Managed services (flat monthly fee) | $14,400 | $14,400 | No change proposed |
| Ad hoc project hours | $3,200 | $2,500 | Lower, most Q3 project work is complete |
| Hardware refresh, 27 devices | $0 | $32,400 | New, pending executive approval |
| Cyber insurance readiness remediation | $1,800 | $6,500 | Firewall rule cleanup and logging upgrade |
| Total | $19,400 | $55,800 | Q4 total driven by the hardware refresh |
Hardware refresh needs a budget decision by Oct 15
27 devices are now past the 4-year mark Silverline's own policy sets as the replacement threshold; 9 of them are showing early failure signs in monitoring, such as repeated disk errors. Recommendation: approve the $32,400 refresh in Q4 rather than spreading it into Q1, since 3 of the 9 at-risk devices support tellers and cannot be down during business hours. Owner: Victor Anh, for the Oct 15 executive review.
Risk register
| Risk | Likelihood | Impact | Owner | Mitigation status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 9 aging endpoints showing early failure signs | High | Medium | Harriet Lo | Refresh proposed for Q4, pending budget approval |
| 6 staff accounts without MFA enrolled | Medium | High | Silverline HR, onboarding process | Enrollment deadline set for Oct 15, 2026 |
| Cyber insurance readiness score below carrier's preferred threshold of 85 | Medium | High | Harriet Lo | Remediation plan scoped, starts Oct 15 |
| Single internet circuit at the branch office, no failover | Low | High | Bluepeak IT | Failover circuit quoted, awaiting Silverline approval |
6 accounts without MFA is the most time-sensitive item
These are accounts created outside the standard onboarding flow during a July staffing surge. If not resolved by Oct 15, these accounts remain a named exception in the cyber insurance readiness report, which can affect renewal terms. Owner: Silverline HR to confirm enrollment; Bluepeak will enforce MFA for these accounts automatically if not resolved by the deadline.
Decisions for this review
Service satisfaction
Based on a 6-question survey sent to 8 Silverline staff who opened tickets this quarter; 5 responded. Feedback cited fast ticket response as the strength and asked for more advance notice before maintenance windows, which we have added to the standard process starting Q4.
The hardware refresh number is the one that gets attention in our budget meetings, but I actually care more about the MFA gap. Knowing it has a hard deadline and an automatic fallback if we miss it is exactly the kind of accountability I want from this relationship.
How to use this template
Duplicate this page once per client per quarter. Replace the values below; if a required value is missing, write Needs review rather than estimating a figure or date.
| Variable | Meaning | Required |
|---|---|---|
{{client.name}} | Client the review covers | Required |
{{review.quarter}} | Quarter and date range covered | Required |
{{scorecard.metrics}} | Health scorecard values for the current and prior quarter | Required |
{{budget.q_next_proposed}} | Proposed budget for the next quarter, with escaped currency values | Required |
{{risk.register}} | Open risks, with likelihood, impact, owner and mitigation status | Required |
{{satisfaction.survey_result}} | Satisfaction rating, labelled with response count out of surveys sent | Optional |
Never present a modeled or survey-based figure as an audited result, and never round a risk's likelihood or impact up or down without the named owner's agreement.
