T24 Won deal to delivery handoff brief
Won deal to delivery handoff brief

Handing Cobalt Labs from sales to delivery without losing what we promised them. Prepared by Oakmere Design for the delivery lead taking on the work, ahead of kickoff.
Sample template: the firm, people, clients and figures are fictional, and the embedded view holds synthetic sample records.
Live example from the Dashboards app, shown with Haven Athletics's demo data.
What we promised during the sale
| Promise | Recorded where | What delivery must honor |
|---|---|---|
| A case study layout the lab operations team can update themselves | Decision criteria, deal record | Ship an editable template in the client's own workspace, not a one-off static page |
| Cobalt Labs' existing brand colors and typography carry through | Discovery notes | Use their current brand guide; do not introduce a new visual style |
| First case study drafted for internal review before the wider rollout | Kickoff call, Maya Chen | Sequence one pilot case study before building the rest |
Missing detail: case study count
The contract and deal record do not state how many case studies $12,000 covers. Consequence if this stays unclear: the client may expect more case studies than the scope supports, or we build fewer than they expect. Owner: Priya Nair, to confirm the count with Anna Kerr before the pilot case study is drafted, and record the answer on this page.
The queue below is our live Won handoff view: every deal marked Won, soonest next step first. Cobalt Labs is one of several handoffs in flight this week; the table under the embed lists the others so you can see what else delivery is absorbing.
| Deal | Company | Value | Handoff status | Next step |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cobalt Labs case study pages | Cobalt Labs | $12,000 | Handoff accepted, delivery started | |
| Redwood Advisory onboarding | Redwood Advisory | $34,000 | Kickoff held, goals posted in the portal | |
| Juniper Studio SEO retainer | Juniper Studio | $24,000 | Kickoff held, first monthly report due Oct 5 | |
| Harbor Lane analytics migration | Harbor Lane | $20,000 | Start date conflict: client wants kickoff before delivery has capacity | |
| Northstar migration | Northstar | $72,000 | Internal handoff meeting, Sep 24 | |
| Willow Row holiday campaigns | Willow Row | $27,000 | Handoff meeting to confirm product feed readiness |
Elsewhere in the queue: Harbor Lane is blocked
Harbor Lane's analytics migration cannot move because the client wants to start before delivery has capacity. This is not our deal to fix today, but it explains why Priya Nair's calendar is tighter than usual this week when scheduling the Cobalt Labs kickoff.
Handoff checklist
Kickoff steps
What the deal record does and does not say
Delivery starts on what is confirmed, not on assumptions
Where the deal record is silent, delivery works from the smallest reasonable scope until the client confirms otherwise, rather than assuming the larger version. That is why the checklist below sequences one pilot case study before any wider commitment.
How to use this template
Fill this out for every deal the moment it moves to Won, before the handoff meeting. Replace these values; if a required value is missing, show Unavailable and flag it to the account lead rather than guessing.
| Variable | Meaning | Required |
|---|---|---|
{{deal.company}} | Client company the deal is for | Required |
{{deal.value}} | Signed deal value | Required |
{{deal.promise}} | Each promise made during the sale, with where it was recorded | Required |
{{handoff.status}} | Accepted, pending or blocked | Required |
{{handoff.blocker}} | What blocks a handoff and who owns clearing it | Required when handoff status is blocked |
{{kickoff.date}} | Scheduled kickoff call date | Optional |
Never start delivery work against a promise you cannot find recorded anywhere; confirm it with sales or the client first.
