T14 Weekly delivery standup notes

Weekly delivery standup notes

A short team standup around a high table

Week of Sep 28, 2026 20 active deliverables 4 blocked Standup: Mon 9:30

A fifteen minute run through everything in motion at Brightline Collective this week, what each person is committing to, and what is stuck. Prepared by Leo Hart, Delivery Lead, from the live delivery tracker. This is a working note, not a client document.

Sample template: the firm, people, clients and figures are fictional, and the embedded view holds synthetic sample records.

Live example from the Dashboards app, shown with Bellwether Health's demo data.

My active delivery

Everyone opens this view before the call and checks that their own cards are current. It shows every deliverable that is Ready, In progress, Client review or Blocked, sorted by due date so the most urgent work sits at the top.

Read it this way: cards near the top with a due date already past today are late and get discussed first. A card sitting in Client review for more than one review round is worth a status check even if the date has not moved.

Commitments

What each person is committing to this week

The rule is one clear commitment per person, said out loud, written down. "Working on it" is not a commitment; a specific action with a date is.

Blockers

Blockers that need a decision, not just a status update

Open blockers
Homepage messaging sprint, Northstar, Priya Nair: waiting on client approval of the new positioning statement before copy moves into design. Overdue since Sep 19.
Webinar registration flow, Cobalt Labs, Owen Brooks: waiting on a new webinar tool API key from the client's IT team after the old one expired. Overdue since Sep 18.
Product launch video cutdowns, Summit Ridge, Priya Nair: client sent new footage after approval and wants all six cutdowns re-edited. Waiting on a priced change order before work resumes. Overdue since Sep 21.
Conversion tracking fix, Acme, Sara Ortiz: purchase events stopped firing after the client's checkout release. Waiting on their developer to restore the data layer. Overdue since Sep 17.
✓CRM cleanup plan scope confirmed with Beacon, no changes to the retainer

Longest running blocker

The conversion tracking fix has been blocked for eleven days. Paid media bidding on Acme is running on incomplete data. Owner: Sara Ortiz. Escalation: if there is no developer response by Oct 1, Maya Chen emails Acme's marketing director directly instead of waiting on the usual contact.

Standup format

✓Blockers first, five minutes
Commitments, one line each
New risks or scope changes
Parking lot for anything longer
Parking lot

Items raised in standup that need more than two minutes get parked here for a separate conversation, not solved live.

  • Should Content service line get its own midweek fifteen minute check in, given four active Content deliverables across three owners this week.
  • Revisit whether Owen Brooks needs a second person covering CRM and automation while Webinar registration flow stays blocked. Raised twice, not yet actioned.
  • Dan Wells asked whether repeated scope creep on Beacon's pricing page redesign (three review rounds) should trigger an automatic add-on quote going forward, rather than a case by case call.
How to use this template

Duplicate this page every Monday before standup. Fill the commitments table live during the call; if a person has no clear commitment yet, write Needs review rather than inventing one.

VariableMeaningRequired
{{standup.date}}Date of this standupRequired
{{standup.facilitator}}Person running the callRequired
{{team.roster}}Names and service lines of attendeesRequired
{{commitment.person}}One named commitment per attendee, with a dateRequired
{{blocker.dependency}}What is needed to clear each blocked card, and who owns itRequired when a card is Blocked
{{parkinglot.items}}Topics raised but not resolved in the callOptional

If a blocker has sat open for more than two standups with no new information, escalate it instead of repeating the same line.
