T137 Open order commitment status

Open order commitment status

A planner updating a planning board in a plant office

Status as of Sep 28, 2026 2 confirmed exceptions 1 order needs review: 9 days apart Client-visible

The committed date for each of the 11 open Tarrow orders, taken from the last authorized commitment, with the two confirmed casting delays disclosed and one order held for a decision because its system date and its committed date differ by 9 days. Prepared by the Keelson customer service lead from approved sources for the Tarrow planner and buyer, including Ingrid Solheim, director of purchasing at Tarrow Pump Systems. Rosalind Chau, vice president of engineering at Keelson Precision Manufacturing, decides which date is supportable. Benedict Oyelaran, commercial operations manager, publishes the status. The next status is published on Oct 12.

Orders on their last authorized commitment

Eight of the 11 open orders are on their last authorized commitment. Two carry a confirmed exception and one needs a supportable date. The count below is the one the Tarrow planner sees first.

Tarrow order commitments

The view lists 13 Tarrow records, all owned by Benedict Oyelaran: the 11 open orders, one change request and one quote. Read Status first (8 Confirmed, 2 Exception, and Tarrow order 2295 Ordered but needing review), then compare Required date with Expected receipt, which match on every confirmed order.

On the change request (Tarrow order 2287 quantity change), the required date is Oct 9, the date Tarrow decides, and the expected receipt of Nov 28 applies only if Tarrow accepts. On the quote (Tarrow housing family quote), the required date of Oct 7 is the date Tarrow records its decision.

Before you share this page with a client

This view is filtered to Tarrow Pump Systems, but the database also holds other clients' records. Keep the embed on a view filtered to the client the page is shared with, and check the view before you send the page to Ingrid Solheim or anyone at Tarrow.

Open orders and their dates

Dates are in days from Sep 28. Each row shows the last authorized commitment, the current production date and a short note. Eight rows have the same number in both columns.

Live example from the Dashboards app, shown with Tarrow Pump Systems' demo data.

Order 2287 is one of the eight on commitment. Its committed date is Nov 7 at 400 units, and the quantity change from 400 to 650 is at impact review. If Tarrow accepts the change, the date for that order moves to Nov 28, and that is a separate decision recorded on the order change impact review.

Committed date and current date

Each pair of points is one order that is not on its last authorized commitment. The gap between the points is how far the current production date is from the commitment. Two gaps are 14 days and one is 9 days.

Where each date comes from

A date is published only if it comes from an approved source. The production system date is shown beside the commitment for comparison and is never published as a commitment on its own.

Authorized sources
Last authorized commitmentThe date Rosalind Chau authorized and Keelson gave Tarrow in writing, held on the order with its ERP reference.
Approved order milestonesMilestones such as material received, machining complete and ready to ship, each confirmed by the plant before it is published.
Confirmed exceptionsA delay confirmed with the supplier and signed off by Rosalind Chau, disclosed with its cause and the date recovery is expected.
Production system dateThe current date in the production system. It can move after a machine reassignment, and it does not change the commitment until someone decides it should.
Source refreshSep 28, 2026. The next refresh is Oct 8, before approval on Oct 9.
Customer decisionTarrow decides delivery date changes. Keelson does not move a committed date on its own.

Casting supplier delay on two orders

Tarrow order 2284 and Tarrow order 2291 are both pump housings that wait on castings from the same supplier, which is two weeks late. Order 2284 was committed for Oct 26 and now shows Nov 9. Order 2291 was committed for Nov 2 and now shows Nov 16. Both are disclosed as confirmed exceptions with Urgent priority, and both stay shown with the original commitment beside the new date. Benedict Oyelaran gives Tarrow the casting recovery date in the Oct 12 status.

Order 2295: system date and committed date differ by 9 days

Order 2295 is 250 impellers, IMP-310-B, worth $31,500. The committed date is Nov 7 and the production system shows Nov 16. The system date moved after a machine reassignment at Keelson Plant 2, and nobody decided whether the customer commitment moved with it. Owner: Benedict Oyelaran. Decision: Rosalind Chau decides which date is supportable. Until then: the published date stays at the last authorized commitment of Nov 7, and Nov 16 is not published as a commitment. Consequence: if Nov 16 is the supportable date, order 2295 becomes a third exception and Tarrow decides on the delivery date change. If Nov 7 holds, planning corrects the system date.

A date that moved in the system is not a date we have promised. The supportable date is the one I can stand behind in front of Tarrow.

How to use this template

Publish one status for each customer after every source refresh. Show each open order with its last authorized commitment, disclose confirmed exceptions with their cause, and hold any order whose system date and committed date differ until a named person decides.

VariableMeaningRequired
{{order.number}}Open order numberRequired
{{order.committed_date}}Last authorized commitment dateRequired
{{order.current_date}}Current production system date, shown for comparison onlyRequired
{{order.state}}On last authorized commitment, confirmed exception or needs reviewRequired
{{order.exception_cause}}Cause of a confirmed exception, with the expected recovery dateOptional
{{order.owner}}Person who owns the order statusRequired
{{status.source_date}}Date the sources were refreshedRequired

If a required value is missing, show Needs review in its place and hold the status; never guess a date. If the order records cannot be read, show Unavailable instead of the counts.
