Release notes
Northstar Mobile 2026.09
- Support: applied September OS and dependency updates. All smoke tests
passed in staging and production before release.
Northstar Mobile 2026.09.1
- Feature: notification permission is now requested after a customer's
first completed order, instead of at install. We expect this to
reduce permission denials based on early field feedback; a full
sprint of data is not yet available to confirm the effect.
Two items blocked, both need a decision from Northstar
Legacy SDK upgrade (target 2026.11) is blocked because the vendor sandbox credentials needed to test the new payments SDK have not been issued by Northstar's vendor contact. Offline edit conflict (target was 2026.09, missed) is blocked because Northstar has not decided which record should win when an offline edit conflicts with a newer server record; the product decision has been pending since Sep 11. Owner on our side: Leo Hart. What we need: the sandbox credentials and a decision on the conflict rule, both this week, or both items slip to the 2026.11 release.
Two of the five items planned for this sprint shipped. Large photo upload crash is in development and on track for 2026.10; the two blocked items above are the reason the sprint did not close at four of five.
